Welcome to Stevenage 

StevenageOne of Stevenage’s biggest assets has to be its location; situated just to the east of junctions 7 and 8 of the A1 (M) and only 25 minutes by train to London Kings Cross station!  Stevenage also provides a fascinating mix of the old and the new.  Stevenage old town, with its picturesque winding streets, is an area that is sure to capture your imagination and provoke your interest into its history. In contrast, Stevenage new town is a much more modern area; it is home to Fairlands Valley Park an award winning outdoor park and is sure to keep the whole family entertained. The popular Gordon Craig Theatre is also in the new part of town for an evening’s entertainment.

Things to do in and around Stevenage

Fairlands Valey ParkYou will never be lost for things to do in Stevenage with its award-winning Fairlands Valley Park; a vast, picturesque space which has a number of exceptional facilities such as sailing, a cafe, five large lakes with loads of local wildlife, and three huge playgrounds.  Stevenage is also home to Knebworth House, one of England's most beloved stately homes. Knebworth House is famous worldwide for its rock concerts and as the home of Victorian novelist Edward Bulwer Lyttonis full of history and charm.

Only a short commute away is Newmarket, Britain’s home of horse racing. This venue is a must visit for all racing enthusiasts, here you will experience the earliest yet one of the grandest and most exciting racecourses in the UK. If horse racing isn’t your thing then equally close is the centre of London to which hosts some of the most fascinating buildings and sights in the world, this city will leave you spoilt for choice. St. Alban’s is another area that is only a short commute from Stevenage. It is a picture postcard Cathedral town that is positioned just south of Stevenage, a very popular tourist destination; St. Alban’s is a beautiful place to spend a day.
